Dornbirn Man Made Fibers Congress brings together 700 participants

from 11 to 13 September was held in Dornbirn the 52nd Edition of textile Congress Dornbirn Man Made Fibers, international chemical fibers Conference.

Is one of the major textile conferences worldwide, and evidence of this is that brought together more than 700 participants from 26 countries, among them Spain.

During the three days there were developments and latest innovations sparking between assistants interesting discussions on the progress shown by research centres, universities and leading companies.

Structured in six thematic areas - sustainable solutions for the fibers industry; Innovations in fibers and filaments; Non-conventional applications of fibers and composites; Finishes; Clothing and functional for sports; and Vision of the markets: Korea, India, Indonesia, Mexico and Turkey in Congress there were 106 papers and five plenary sessions.

One of the papers was presented by Innotex Center, Center of technological innovation of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, located in Terrassa and member of Tecnio network of technological centres of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

The paper titled "A new method to apply microcapsules to textiles in the spinning process", of which are authors Feliu Marsal and Daniel Palet, describes the results obtained from the new method developed for the application of microcapsules during spinning.
